More financial certainty

To make good choices about your money you need good information. The problem nowadays is that the world’s information is effectively placed into the hands of anyone with a smartphone and an internet connection. Information is no longer power, it’s a commodity. There’s too much of it. We’ve got new information coming at us by the truck loads every day and it tumbles ever faster directly to our fingertips. It’s like trying to drink from a fire hydrant.

Although we’ve never had more access to high-quality information to help us make important financial decisions, it hasn’t actually made our decision-making process any easier. Rather than empowering us to make better choices about our money, our virtually unlimited access to information often leads to greater fears of making the wrong decision. This in turn leads to greater anxiety and indecision that ultimately leaves us spinning our wheels and getting us nowhere on our important financial matters.
Uncertainty
For the past seven years I have had the privilege of being invited into my clients lives to help them make good choices about their money. The clients I typically work with are high-income professionals who enjoy their lifestyle but often feel they just aren’t making the most of their financial opportunities. They are intelligent and motivated people who are certain about the things that are important in their life, but are often uncertain about the best way to financially achieve it.

I’m happy that I have been able to help so many people already, but now I want to do more and to help even more people. So in April 2016 I started the Financial Certainty blog with one simple but important purpose; to bring greater financial certainty to people’s lives.

And who couldn’t use a little more certainty in their life?

Through this blog I will share with you the financial knowledge, insights, tools and experiences that have helped my clients, which in turn I hope will help you to make better-informed and more confident choices about your money. You can see what my clients say about their experiences.

ABOUT BRETT

I have always been a big believer that life is to be enjoyed. We all deserve to spend our time doing the things that give our lives real meaning and purpose. I also believe that when it comes down to it life is pretty short, so it’s important that we make every decision count – especially the financial ones.

This is why I love being a financial adviser and why I am passionate about helping people have more financial certainty in their life.

When I am not helping people with their finances I love spending time with my family and playing with my little girl Ivy. She is such a funny and inquisitive little critter who always makes me smile every day. I love her unbridled enthusiasm and how she helps me to experience the world through her new and excited perspective. Yes, she is totally going to have Dad wrapped around her little sticky fingers, and I am going to love every minute of it.

On the weekends you can often find the three of us enjoying different breakfast spots around Perth, having picnics in the park or playing at the beach. I enjoy jogging outdoors as I find it relaxing (well, sort of) and a good opportunity to let my mind wander. I’ve manage to complete a half-marathon and will hopefully challenge myself to complete a full marathon one day!

My wife’s parents live on a farm in Denmark (the town not the country) and we love taking every opportunity we can to spend time down there. It’s such a relaxing and beautiful part of the world made all that more special by the access to live-in babysitters!

If you really want to get into the nuts and bolts of what makes me tick you can have a look at my Myers-Briggs personality profile. If there is anything else you want to know please feel free to ask me.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy my blog and that it helps you have more financial certainty in your own life.
